·      Create a detailed current state summary of on reserve housing portfolio

o   CP vs Band Owned

o   Current and UTD housing request list

·      Create a sustainable and realistic funding plan that will establish achievable and quality home ownership

·      Leverage best practices in building, renovation and funding grants to ensure new homes are at the forefront of green building (LEED) and repairs and retrofits enhance the quality of the home (High Efficiency Appliances, double pane windows, insulation materials, energy generation)

Land and Water Stewardship

·      Ensure Disaster Recovery plans are in place in case of natural and/or environmental disaster(s) – train derailments (Lac Megantic), tailings pond breaches (Quesnel), wind storms, floods etc….

·      Enforce our inherent rights to our natural resources – sport fishing, mushroom picking, lumber etc..

 

Prepare for Self Governance

·      How will we manage government restitution of our lands?

·      Quarterly reporting on past quarter activities and upcoming quarter plans

·      Establish communication channel(s) for on and off-reserve members to participate in two-way communication – Central Website, Social Media, Survey Monkey, Contact Information

·      Create feedback channel(s) that allow for regular access to ME to ask question and provide feedback – Feedback Fridays 1 hour designated for membership access

·      Leverage the knowledge and skills of all members on and off reserve to alleviate the volunteer fatigue of on-reserve members
